Jared's First Day of Preschool

Jared is attending preschool this year! In this area, most of the preschools are run by the local churches. Jared is going to one run by the Baptist church. It's been an interesting so far. Most of the preschool curriculum is the regular reading, writing, math, art, large and small motor kinds of things that you would expect, but there have been a couple of differences. For example, one day Jared asked me why when his teacher at school prayed at lunch time, her prayer was different than our prayers. It was a wonderful opportunity for us to talk about things and I'm hoping to have more opportunities during the year.

His first day was pretty gray and wet, so I'll have to take some better preschool pictures another day to get him with his new backpack and lunch box. I can't believe how big he is getting!
